milkshed. is Cam Gallaher, Jake Tulley, & Alf Grey. Working out of a disused milking parlour in the depths of south-west England, the three have been busily honing a powerful style. Influenced by Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age and The White Stripes, their enigmatic sound blends elements of 90s grunge andgarage rock with pop songwriting sensibilities to create a fresh take on modern guitar music.
Their debut single “Apex Predator” is a bold statement of intent.Entirely self-produced from recording to mix, the track encapsulates the band’s raw energy and sets the bar for the catalogue that is to follow.
Their second release, “Burning Bridges” caught the attention of Grammy-winning producer/mixer Adrian Bushby on social media, who worked with the band to complete their debut EP, out now. With Glastonbury festival as their debut performance and a string of headline shows already under their belt, milkshed. have established themselves as a captivating live act not to be missed.
Obvious Reasons is a Hard Indie Rock band from the south west of the UK who’s infectious riffs and sexy beats have been compared to the sounds of Arctic Monkeys and Royal Blood. Obvious Reasons has played shows in cities like Exeter and Plymouth and last summer played the main stage at Festival On The Hills supporting Scouting For Girls and Sonique. Their EP, Diagnosis: Crazy has been very well received and many more big things are in the works for this exciting new band.
KING LOUIS is comprised of Josh (vocals), Ben (drums), Ptolemy (guitar) and Gil (bass). Being extremely different in musical influence, style and personality is one of the greatest strengths of the group in their opinion. It is with this difference they were able to identify a common thread of both a love for music, and also the ability as young men to communicate feelings through their creative processes. For KING LOUIS, their melodies are crafted and lead by Ptolemy in a bedroom-guitarist kind of way. Ptolemy has an extraordinary ability to continually turn riffs and ideas into melodic concepts to which Josh crafts the lyrics to mirror the ‘feeling in the room’. Ben and Gil complete the process- bringing the flurry of ideas into structured and digestible song; adding anthem-feel rock and roll fills through to funk reminiscent baselines. Their first release, HAPPENINGS AT MIDNIGHT, is a snapshot of the thoughts that plague late night over-thinkers. It’s dark, hopeful, hurting and from the heart. The band made their first radio debut on BBC Introducing Devon with the track ‘World of the Dead’. The band released their new single ‘Canvas in the Rain’ on 23rd June 2023. It was their most anticipated work to date. It was also featured on BBC Introducing Southwest.
